Notes to June 27, 2010 - All of the R-160's have been delivered. The only remaining changes due are the removal of the remaining R-44 fleet, which will probably happen as more R-46 car are transfered from Jamaica to Pitkin/207th.
The 14 R-42 cars have been removed from the list.
The TA's official counts still include nine R-110B cars, that are not in this list.
Notes to July 15, 2010 - There remain only 28 R-44 cars in A service. There are four R-46 cars that are yet to be placed into service at Pitkin and a few more that need to be transfered from Jamaica to Pitkin. 207th is 100% R-32 and Pitkin will become 100% R-46 by the next update.
R-44 notes - July 19, 2010 - I received an e-mail on July 19th saying that some R-44 cars have been on the C in recent days. I confirmed that 12 R-44 cars had been reactivated and placed into service there. With this, they are supposed to be off the A, but as all car assignments are guides, they might still be there too. The main reason for the reactivation was the air conditioning of some of the R-32 cars is not reliable and with heat of 2010, it was felt necessary to rescue the passengers. This will mean that the R-44 cars will remain in service until at least the end of the summer.
R-44 notes - Sept 16, 2010 - The R-44 mainline fleet is out of service with effective September 16. (Updated 10/16/2010 with official confirmation)
R-32 notes - Dec 12, 2010 - 10 R-32 cars have been converted to refuse flat cars.

R-32 notes - March 1, 2011 - After use on the fall season gel trains, eight more cars removed form service.

Notes - March 1, 2011 - updated to June 26, 2011- Althought not removed from the count, five R-142A cars have been removed from service at Westchester Yard (#6 - Pelham servcie) for conversion to CBTC prototyping. Five more cars were added to the test as of the June 26, 2011 assignments. This did not affect the fleet count, but did affect the service avaialbility count.
The official TA count still record the R-110A and R-110B cars for a total of 19 additional cars. These have been added as a separtate line on the counts, but not included in the division or grand totals.
The R-44 line has been remove from the list for the main line cars.

Update January 21, 2012: One “C” car, number 7921, was delivered to 207 Street Shops by January 2, 2012. The new configuration will be 7216-7217-7218-7219-7921-7220
and will be paired with 5 car set 7211-7215 to make an eleven car train. The A cars, 7216 and 7220, have been modified with CBTC equipment.

There will also be two six car and two five car new sets of cars to be delivered by the end of 2012. They are projected to be car numbers 7811-7832.

Update December 22, 2013:Five R-110A cars were removed from the roster as of June 30, 2013 and tranfered to the work car roster for pump train service.
Eleven R-188 cars have been accepted and are listied in the car assignment sheet for Dec 15, 2013 on the #7.

Update June 2014 R-188 update: Thirty R-142A cars converted to R-188 plus three new R-188 C cars to go with them. Eighty-eight new R-188 cars. This includes the original eleven R-188 cars in the Dec.22 update. The June 16, 2014 car assignments has seven trains (77 cars) required for service.
