About October 25, 2006 the number of spam e-mails have increased again. These are not bounce backs, but spam being sent to me. My spam filters are blocking them, so it's possible that some real e-mails to me might be deleted by the filters. Please be sure to have a clear subject line that will catch my eye.

On October 18, thousands of e-mails have gone out from redthejoekornerout at thejoekorner.com. As the others, they are not from me. I found that they have return paths from a number of e-mail domains. I have set my filters to trap these returns. A week later other bogus e-mail addresses are appearing. None of then are from me.

As of May 28, 2006, it appears that the bogus e-mails have stopped. I don't know why, but I'm glad.

The JoeKorNer has been the target of a program out on the web that is sending bogus e-mails to thousands of e-mail boxes a day. They all have bogus reply to text like xxxx.at.thejoekorner.com
Many of these are returned to my mailbox because they are rejected. Rest assured these are not coming from me or anyone associated with the JoeKorNer.
I've tried a number of things to filter out the garbage. Because of this, I may have missed one or more of your e-mails. I'm sorry if this happened to you - Please try again. Clearly make the subject something that will catch my eye, while I go through the spam catcher folder.
You could also try my guest book and leave a private message. I'll send you an e-mail address that will get through the filters.
