Shoreline Trolley Museum

Formerly the Branford Trolley Museum.
I have been a member of the BERA since 1968. I was a regular operator and dispatcher there from 1972 to 1981 or so. Since 1999 we try to get there at least once a year. Most of the photos below are from various visits prior to 2000.

The city of New Orleans is looking to promote tourism to the hurricane ravaged city. All of the Perley A. Thomas built trolley cars there are needed for service on the undamaged Canal and Riverfront lines, the Shoreline Trolley Museum stepped in to allow NOPS car 850 from their collection to begin a journey around the country.
My August 2009 visit found some new things, like the MBTA trackless Trolley with the distinctive off side center door. Also newly restored New Orleans #850 was in service.
