Transit Magazine - 1950s

Transit was the employee news magazine published by the NYC Transit Authority between 1954 and 1957 and again from 1968 to 1972, when the MTA publication began publication. A question came up on the nyc.transit newsgroup about the City Island monorail. I knew I had a brief artcile about it and found it in the December 1954 issue. While looking for it, I found a number of articles that would be of interest in the perspective of more than 50 years later. Here for your enjoyment and information.
Each article (except the first and last) have links to the next story, to avoid going back to the index after reading each.
